Attorney Biography
Mike grew up in Sandy Springs and continues to live in the area with his wife Mary and (occasionally) his two college-age children, Joe and Isabelle. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1987, Mike attended Georgia State University College of Law, graduating in 1991.
Mike legal career focuses upon representing individuals in state and federal courts in all categories of personal injury and wrongful death matters including automobile and trucking accidents, medical malpractice, and products/premises liability cases.
He enjoys an AV Peer Review Rating from LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell and is honored to be included as a member of Georgia SuperLawyers since 2009. For the past two years, Georgia SuperLawyers also recognized Mike as one of the top 100 lawyers in the state. He is also one of the first plaintiff personal injury lawyers in Georgia to obtain board certification as a medical malpractice attorney by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. Mike’s an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA Champion Member), the Atlanta Bar Association, Lawyers Club of Atlanta, and the American Association for Justice.
In his free time, Mike serves as an Assistant Professor at Georgia State College of Law where he teaches litigation. He also enjoys exercising, playing golf, snow skiing and spending time with his family. As a long-time member of the Buckhead Lion’s Club, Mike has served in several leadership roles including President and chairperson for the organization’s annual golf tournament which benefits Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the SHARE Military Initiative at Shepherd Center Atlanta.
