Attorney Biography
Mike Bennett is a 2004 graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law. Mike began his legal career with Wyoming Legal Services before becoming the DCI Staff Attorney and then an Albany County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. In 2008, Mike started his criminal defense practice in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was appointed the Fremont County and Prosecuting Attorney in March 2013. In 2015, Mike opened his law firm in Rawlins, Wyoming, and focused primarily on criminal defense. In 2020, Mike joined the Corthell and King team, and was appointed as the City of Rawlins Municipal Court Judge. Mike has successfully suppressed 100's of pounds of marijuana due to unlawful stops and automobile searches.
Mike’s wife, Patricia, is also a UW College of Law graduate and a supervisor for the Office of the Wyoming Public Defender. Mike and Patricia have six children, ages range from 17 to 34. The Bennetts enjoy the outdoors: camping, fishing, hunting, and sitting by the campfire.
