Attorney Biography
Juan Carlos is a passionate advocate who enjoys successfully representing clients in both criminal and civil courts throughout the State of Texas.
Before graduating St. Mary’s Law School in San Antonio, Texas, Juan Carlos cut his teeth into the justice system as a decorated police officer with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C.. The multitude of experiences as a midnight patrol officer on the streets of D.C. have made him uniquely attuned to the struggles and desires of everyday people. These experiences have given him an ability to connect to jury’s in a manner that translates into persuasive and understandable arguments attributing to his many successful Not Guilty jury trial verdicts for his clients.
After graduating law school, Juan Carlos hung his own shingle representing citizens accused in both State and Federal Courts throughout Texas. Within the first five years of his legal career, the Criminal District Court Judges in Bexar County Texas selected Juan Carlos to be appointed to serve as a District Court Magistrate for the County. He honorably served Bexar County for over five years in this capacity.
Juan Carlos’s reputation as a skilled and passionate advocate has also earned him praise from his peers as one of San Antonio’s Best Lawyers 2014-2022 published in Scene in SA Magazine. He also holds a Superb Rating of 10.0 with AVVO and is currently a Board Member with the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
