Unprofessional and untruthful

Commercial Real Estate Law

Unprofessional and untruthful

I hired him to help me clear my name from a Law suit summonEd by Atoka court . My brother added me to his business lease for 2 months without letting me know, then on May 2021, I signed a warrantee deed to have my name taken out . Some point during these 2 months his ex- girl friend tried to sell this lease to her debt owner , Hanna, by faking his signature and mine. Some things went wrong between his ex and Hanna, who then now sue my brother, me and his ex. I just wanted to hire Ryan to write me a letter explaining to the court that I have nothing to do with my brother business and he suggested me to let him contact the plaintiff’s attorney to get me dismissed from the case.. So I waited for 2 weeks but no answer so I called him , and found that the other attorney refused to dismiss me. He then suggested me the next step is to filling an answer to the court with a $2000 fee that I have to pay him upfront. I got upset at his failure of quick response and passive approach that cause a delay of the process He then blamed me not listening to his advise that we should have filed an answer to the court and refused to pay the retainer fee. He totally forgot the reason needed him in the first place, a letter to court which I literately should have called “ an answer”. Besides he didn’t mention about the retainer fee I should paid him first. When my 20 day deadline was near, he twisted the story and claimed that it’s not his fault the other attorney didn’t answer him fast enough. And now I must pay him $ 472.50 for his work. The way he handled my case is very poor and unprofessional. He doesn’t remember what he told his client and readily lies to cover his failure. I don't believe he is an experienced lawyer, and don’t trust him with any further step. That’s my whole story and thank you for listening.

Ryan Jones:"Client "Z", hundreds of satisfied clients can attest to the honesty, competency, and integrity of myself and my firm. Your opinion is a miniscule outlier. In the past, in rare cases when a client has been unhappy, I have been able to explain the situation and satisfy the concern. In fact, I generally apologize to distressed clients, even if I believe we are not to blame. But in your situation, no apology is warranted. This review contains dishonest statements and omissions. Our firm provided competent representation, and we offered to represent you in litigation for a $2,000 retainer payment (which was necessary not only for the "answer" you reference but also to act as counsel of record in ongoing litigation). As you may verify with other law firms, asking for $2,000 as a litigation retainer payment is very low. Furthermore, you made certain representations to our firm which later turned out to be untrue. Therefore, I find your review wholly unfounded and verging on defamation."
