Porcia Keyonna Lockett

Porcia has always had a passion for personal injury litigation and she puts that passion to good use. Her responsibilities include drafting documents such as memorandums, complaints, and motions. She also researches case law and legal issues, prepares case briefs, redacts records, organizes discovery, attends mediations and trials, and even assists with drafting legal articles for our website. Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and dedication make her an invaluable member of our team.

Before joining The Millar Law Firm, Porcia worked at the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office where she assisted with trials and hearings.  Before that, Ms. Lockett spent three years working as a Legal Assistant and Case Management Assistant at the Georgia Office of State Administrative Hearings (OSAH). In this role, Porcia assisted administrative law judges with caseloads and workload management, achieving a 100% efficiency rate. As the liaison between the judges, the public, litigants, and state agencies, she prepared case files, calendars, and other paperwork. She also attended hearings and trials to assist judges in ensuring a fair hearing process.

Porcia’s journey in the legal field began with internships as a Legal Assistant at the Jason Hoffman Law Firm in Tifton, GA, where she assisted in preparing for court proceedings and recorded essential information for misdemeanor and juvenile cases. She later interned at the Davis Bozeman Law Firm in Decatur, GA. Here she organized case files in areas such as personal injury, wrongful deaths, criminal defense, and civil rights.

Outside of work, Porcia is a content creator who shares her passion for cooking and fitness with her audience. She also enjoys visiting new restaurants in Atlanta always on the hunt for the best sushi restaurants and live music venues. Porcia loves to travel, as well, because it gives her an opportunity to explore new cultures and find her next adventure.
