About David E. Clark

Attorney Biography

December 2010 High Times Freedom Fighter of the Month David Clark is the founder of NORML of Georga, Inc (4/20/2009) The author of "101 Ways to Beat a Marijuana Charge in Georgia," Clark is known throughout the state as an expert in drug cases, especially cannabis cases. Georgia is a backward state with no medical cannabis program, no decriminalizion and no mercy on cannabis users, be they recreational or medicinal.

Clark & Towne, PC, Clark's firm, has been leaders in the metro Atlanta legal community for over 20 years. Clark served as a magistrate judge, president of the local bar association criminal defense section, and executive director of NORML of Georgia Inc for 3 years.

Clark produced the podcast "Don't Consent to the Search," available on iTunes Music Store, educating the public on police misconduct and defenses to illegal searches. All drug cases involve police searches, and Clark is the go-to guy among lawyers for advice on how to beat a search.

David has lectured on constitutional law and drug case defense to lawyers in Georgia, Miami, and Las Vegas. He has won appeals in drug cases in Georgia, including marijuana and meth cases where the judge slammed his client. The clients walked away. In 1999, he fought an unconstitutional DUI-marijuana law and had it stricken from the books by Georgia's highest court (Love v. State).

Nobody in Georgia is more committed to helping recreational and medicinal cannabis users survive in this hostile legal environment. Bruce Harvey has called him "the consummate lawyer." He holds the highest possible rating: "AV pre-eminent," from the nationally recognized Martindale-Hubble legal directory.

Creative, dedicated, compassionate - contact David Clark whether you are in a little trouble or in a lot of trouble. Fight the Powers that Be.
