Attorney Biography
Scott Stinson is a seasoned trial attorney with a strong courtroom presence. Specializing in personal injury law, business matters, and criminal defense—including white-collar crime—he brings extensive experience to every case. A former public defender, Scott has tried over 100 cases to verdict, emphasizing meticulous preparation and strategic insight. He earned his law degree from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College in 2003. After working with Portland firms Chilton, Ebbett & Rohr and Metropolitan Public Defender, he relocated to Bozeman, Montana, in 2012 to co-found Stinson Law Group with his brother, Laurence. Scott has defended clients facing charges ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies and has also represented individuals in civil commitment proceedings.
