Attorney Biography
Admitted to practice in Idaho and Washington, Chris’ practice historically was focused on transactional work, real property matters, and general business litigation. With the passage of I-502 in 2013, Chris has since assisted many Washington marijuana producers and processors with licensing applications, sales and assumptions of active licenses, contract disputes, and leasing matters.
As the co-owner of an active Tier II Producer, Chris understands the history, challenges and logistics of marijuana licensing, and is committed to ensuring a fair and competitive marijuana market in Washington.
Chris and his wife, Karen Stratton, have resided in northwest Spokane for more than 25 years. Chris is currently President of the Spokane Park Board and is actively involved in the redevelopment of Spokane’s iconic Riverfront Park. His wife Karen is a member of the Spokane City Council. They have one son, Benjamin, who works as a chemical engineer in Elkton, Maryland.
