Attorney Biography
John Krall, an attorney with the Ritchie Law Firm since 1991, practices primarily in the areas of automobile/tractor trailer collisions and medical negligence. He has extensive jury trial experience and has successfully represented hundreds of seriously injured persons.
A native of Rockingham County, John graduated from Eastern Mennonite High School, Harrisonburg, Virginia, in 1976, James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia, in 1982 and The Marshall Wythe School of Law at The College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia, in 1988. After graduating law school, John returned to the Shenandoah Valley and began a general practice representing persons injured in auto accidents and at work as well as criminal defense work.
In 1991, John joined the Ritchie Law Firm and now concentrates his practice on trial work in serious personal injury cases involving auto accidents, tractor trailer or trucking accidents, motorcycle accident cases, medical malpractice, and wrongful death claims.
John was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Virginia in 1988 and the West Virginia Supreme Court in 2004. John practices before the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Virginia and the Southern District of West Virginia. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the West Virginia State Bar, and the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County Bar Association.
John is a fellow in the National College of Advocacy and regularly participates in its National Trial Advocacy programs. The National College of Advocacy is the only trial advocacy program exclusively for lawyers representing persons who are hurt through the negligence of others.
John is also a 2021 graduate of the Keenan Trial Institute, which gives trial attorneys the leading edge in getting top verdicts for their clients.
John focuses his practice in Virginia and West Virginia, serving the Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Winchester, and Martinsburg, WV, offices.
