I am a bankruptcy lawyer, and I also practice in several other areas, including contracts, collections, family law, real estate, and criminal defense. I have been practicing law since 2005. I hold a law degree and a master's degree in computer science. I am a member of the Utah bar, the California bar, and am also a licensed patent attorney and hold a real estate license. I run a technology business on the side of my law practice. I speak several languages and have many interests. I am not the sort of lawyer who became a lawyer because I like to pick fights. In fact, I didn't become interested in law until I realized that lawyers are meant to be problem-solvers. That is what appealed to me, and to this day, what I enjoy most about being a lawyer is taking people who have gotten into bad, scary, or confusing situations, giving them clear explanations and helping them choose their next steps wisely. I don't mind the arguing and fighting either, so long as it helps solve problems.
