Attorney Biography
Nejat A. Ahmed focuses her practice in the area of insurance coverage disputes and commercial litigation. She has significant experience litigating and negotiating complex insurance coverage and bad faith disputes. Through early case assessment, effective motions and court arguments, she works to successfully get her clients the benefits owed under their insurance policies and damages for bad faith conduct.
Ms. Ahmed has litigated multi-million dollar coverage disputes involving primary and excess commercial property policies and third-party coverage disputes involving primary and excess liability policies.
Ms. Ahmed also has extensive experience representing commercial clients sued in tort and breach of contract suits. She provides counsel to her commercial clients in negotiating and drafting contracts, subcontracts, master service agreements and service agreements to ensure you are protected. Should a contractual dispute arise, Ms. Ahmed will work for you to resolve them while keeping in mind her client's business relationships and interests.
Prior to opening her own practice, Ms. Ahmed was a partner at an international law firm, specializing in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
Ms. Ahmed earned her law degree from Baylor University School of Law in 2002 and her Bachelor of Science from the University of North Texas in 1999. Following law school, she clerked for the presiding judge of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Texas's highest court for criminal cases.
Ms. Ahmed is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas.
