Attorney Biography
Morgan Marichal earned her license to practice law in the state of Texas in May, 2015. After becoming licensed Mrs. Marichal joined The Potts Law Firm as an Associate Attorney. As an integral part of the mass-tort litigation division of the firm Mrs. Marichal handles several dockets, including the widely publicized General Motors Ignition Switch Defect Litigation. Notably, Mrs. Marichal, alongside several other promising associates within the firm, was recently named as a nominee for the Texas Super Lawyers list of the Top 40 Attorneys Under 40.*
Prior becoming a licensed attorney Mrs. Marichal obtained her paralegal degree, which inspired her to advance her career in the legal field. Shortly after attending Rice University, Mrs. Marichal decided to pursue her law degree at South Texas College of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2014. Prior to her legal education, Mrs. Marichal attended the University of San Diego. She graduated with honors in 2010, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History.
Morgan Marichal was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas where she graduated from Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School in 2006. Mrs. Marichal played for both the varsity soccer and varsity tennis teams all four years of high school and was named Captain of the varsity soccer team her senior year.
