Attorney Biography
Criminal defense attorney Michael D. Mercer was born in Houston and graduated from the University of Texas. He worked for the Harris County District Attorney's office for one year before founding the criminal defense firm of Mercer & Keirnan. Before focusing his practice strictly on criminal defense, Michael worked in various fields of law as both a law student and attorney, including personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice and insurance defense. With such extensive experience, Michael commands an impressive knowledge of the law.
When Michael takes on a criminal case, he goes above and beyond the duties he owes to his clients. Michael exhibits a genuine passion for the people he represents. His tireless work ethic and professionalism are propelling him to become one of the brightest and hard-nosed young defense attorneys at the courthouse. Michael is licensed to practice law in all courts in the state of Texas and focuses 100% of his practice towards criminal defense.
