Attorney Biography
Mark D. Dunn was born in 1955. He attended college at Stephen F. Austin State University, and went to law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston. Since 1986 he has been licensed to practice in all Texas state courts. He is admitted to practice in federal Court in the Eastern District, Southern District, and Northern District of Texas. He is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
He had a solo practice in Nacogdoches, Texas for 11 years. For three years he was with the Child Support Division of the Attorney General's Office, and was eventually promoted to Managing Attorney. He has been the "first chair" lawyer in 31 jury trials.
In 1995, he won an appeal in the case of In re Driver (reported at 895 SW2d 875), which set a precedent on a question involving the calculation of child support.
