DISGUSTED BY HIS INCOMPETANCE
Given that court appointed attorneys are rumoured to be notorious for not being the best advocates
for their clients, I had just a little bit of hope that I would be proven wrong. Nope. Actually,
his performance thus far has been far below even my lowest expectations. He doesn't return phone
calls, blames everyone else for his inability to do just the basic functions of a lawyer. My
husband has been in jail for 106 days, "Mito" has visited twice. He was supposed to accept the
discovery from the prosecutor, she hadn't heard from him or seen him. She has done more to help me
than he has. That is a big statement. He is arrogant, foul-mouthed, and not to mention does not
think highly of white people. He blames me for involving myself in the case, but if he had
communicated with me and called me back after I called his office leaving 5 messages with very
specific requests, perhaps I would not have gone to advocate for my husband myself and reached out
to the prosecutor. I am dismayed and disgusted that after all this time, close to 4 months now, he
hasn't familiarized himself with anything regarding my husband's case. Including my name. He has
not even asked for the Discovery and has already determined that my husband is a (and I will quote
him) "cunt's hair away from going to prison." I am scared that this is a taste of more to come. I
am terribly concerned that my husband does not stand a chance of getting out unless I hire a
competent attorney.
