Attorney Biography
John C. Ramsey is the founder of Ramsey Law Group and serves as the firm’s lead trial counsel. He is driven by his commitment to serving his clients and his community. During the course of his career, he has achieved award-winning successes for his clients against many Fortune 500 corporations, including Ford, Chevrolet, Wal-Mart, Firestone, U-Haul, Conagra Foods, and TXU Energy, including being recognized for one of the Top 50 Verdicts in the United States for 2017.
John routinely handles cases throughout the United States and has been admitted to practice Pro Hac Vice in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Indiana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Tennessee, and Utah. He has represented consumers in products liability litigation for 20 years. His nationwide law practice has achieved results that led to recalls of defective tires and dangerous vehicles. He has even taken clients to Washington, D.C. to lobby for safer automobile safety standards.
Since founding Ramsey Law Group, John has devoted all of his professional time to representing victims of trucking accidents, workplace accidents, and many other personal injury related claims across Texas and the entire United States. John has dedicated his entire career and substantial resources to representing accident and injury victims, achieving exceptional results related to their claims.
John is a fifth-generation Texan. He was born in Waxahachie, Texas and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Dallas, with honors, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. Having lived abroad in Colombia, John is fluent in Spanish.
To give back, John frequently teaches at the University of Houston and at continuing legal education seminars throughout the United States. John has presented and lectured to thousands of lawyers, judges, and legal professionals at various professional events around the country on a range of personal injury related topics. He also is a Vice Chairman of the Armed Forces Appreciation Committee at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and volunteers at clinics throughout Southeast Texas aiding veterans with legal issues.
John and his family are members of Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston. He and his wife, Kristen, have four children. In his spare time, he enjoys duck hunting and college football.
