James L Rogers Jr

Although I graduated from Law School in Mississippi, I am a long-time North Texas native. I grew up in Howe, just south of Sherman, and after college, I worked in the D/FW metroplex for 11 years before becoming a lawyer. I decided to change careers and practice law to be more connected to the community and to help and advise people who truly need help and advice.

I have been married to my wife, Kim, for over 20 years and together we have two daughters, Lilly and Grace, who both attend Melissa I.S.D. schools. We are a family of animal lovers and in addition to the dogs and the cat that live at home, Lilly and Grace also have a couple of horses and a bull that live at their Grandfather's place in Anna.

I feel that McKinney was the perfect place to begin a law practice. It is close to home, it has a tight-knit legal community, it's the county seat, and the growth is unbelievable. Above all else, McKinney is full of great people, leaders, professionals, and businesses. I am proud to be part of such a community and I look forward to serving it now and in the future.
