Attorney Biography
Attorney Ijeoma Ihuaku Opara is a legal practitioner and the owner/CEO of The Opara Law Firm, PLLC in Houston Texas. She obtained her bachelor in law, L.L.B in 1988 from Imo State Univesity, Nigeria and a Barrister at Law, B.L from Nigeria Law School Lagos in 1989. In 2000 she was called to the New York State Bar second division and in 2002 she gaduated with a doctor of jurisprudence decree J.D from Thurgood Marshall School of law summa cum laude. She also obtained an L.L.M in Energy, Environmental and Natural resources law in 2006 from the Houston Law Center. She was an instructor and the director of the academic support progranms at Thurgood Marshall School of law for five years before going into private practice in 2007 at thelaw firm. She is currently licensed to practice in New York, Texas, Southern District of Texas and admitted in most of the federal courts including the 5th and 8th circuit courts of appeals. She will work with you and for you until the desired results is achieved.
Attorney Ijeoma Oapra has a passion for law and justice which places her in leadership roles in many organizations. Her tenacity and aggressiveness towards defending others whether in criminal, family, Immigration, Personal Injury or civil matters and her hands on approach to issues sets her apart from her peers. She has written several articles and has contributed to the legal profession by creating awareness about legal issues that affect members of her community and the general public at large through legal clinics and distribution of educational materials .
