Bobby D Mims

Bobby D. Mims has devoted his career to defending individuals charged with criminal offenses in state and federal court. He focuses on DWI defense, drug cases, forfeiture cases and serious felony cases.

As an experienced trial attorney, he has tried more than 250 jury trials and defended 30 capital murder cases.

The Law Offices of Bobby D. Mims, P.C., is located in Tyler, Texas, in Smith County, but he represents clients throughout the surrounding areas of east Texas.

As a leader in the legal community, Bobby Mims was recently elected president of the largest and most respected organization in the state for criminal defense lawyers, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA).

Bobby Mims is a member of the National College of DUI Defense (NCDD) who successfully defends DWI cases. He is certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.

He also holds membership in the Federal Bar for the Eastern District of Texas, and the Federal Bar for the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Bobby Mims serves as the Public Affairs Officer for the Smith County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He also is a member of the Smith County Bar Association and the Cherokee County Bar Association.

He is a Super Fellow of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Educational Institute (TCDLEI), and a Fellow of the College of the State Bar of Texas. He is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
