Billy Skinner is a hard-hitting criminal defense lawyer dedicated to serving clients in Houston, Texas. His cutting-edge legal representation is characterized by ingenuity and results. Billy grew up in Longview, Texas. After high school, he attended Stephen F. Austin State University. There, he earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree. After graduation, he began a successful career in marketing before moving to Houston to attend the South Texas College of Law.
Billy gained valuable legal experience working as an intern at the Harris County District Attorney's Office as a law student. During his final year of law school, the District Attorney's Office selected him to work on the highly-publicized retrial of a Houston woman accused of drowning her five children.
After law school, Billy had the opportunity to work with Rusty Hardin, a highly-regarded local trial lawyer. As an employee at Rusty Hardin & Associates, he worked on high-profile criminal defense cases and complicated civil trials.
Billy returned to the District Attorney's Office a short time later to continue gaining valuable trial experience, where he quickly built a reputation as an aggressive and effective lawyer. Billy left the District Attorney's office to establish his own firm in 2009.
Today, Billy fights for his clients on one, simple principle: Everyday people deserve the type of legal defense that is typically reserved for the elite.
