Attorney Biography
Sean Ruppert, a partner and business law and litigation attorney at Kraemer, Manes & Associates, brought his private practice to KM&A in 2015 and became a vital member of the team. His day-to-day work focuses on business law and civil litigation. Sean works with clients to determine the root of their legal issue and provide a legal solution.
When working with small business owners, Sean offers strategies to help business owners avoid expensive mistakes. He guides each entrepreneur in contract negotiation, employment practices, entity formation, and insurance decisions. Sean’s legal knowledge helps business owners feel confident in their compliance to business law.
For employees who have suffered illegal employment action, Sean provides actionable legal advice. He challenges employers who fail to uphold the law, and he demands financial damages for his client who has suffered wrongly. Sean handles cases from unpaid wages to employment discrimination. His strategic thinking and savvy negotiation skills often saves his clients’ time and money.
Sean graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and while there, he worked with the Immigration Law Clinic and provided pro bono representation to refugees in asylum hearings. Before attending law school, Sean graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and worked as a newspaper reporter.
In his own time, Sean volunteers with Project Olympus, a business incubator that’s affiliated with Carnegie Mellon University. He helps entrepreneurs recognize the potential legal issues in starting and managing a new business.
