Eventually, Rich wanted to align his legal practice more closely with his personal values and transitioned from handling homicide defense cases to focusing on DUI matters. Guided by mentorship from a notable figure in Oregon’s DUI defense realm, Rich became a leading authority in DUI defense, contributing over 15 scholarly lectures and writings to legal education. Recognized for his expertise, he has been cited as an expert in multiple editions of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association’s DUII Notebook. Licensed to practice before all Oregon courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Rich’s credentials speak volumes about his dedication to serving clients with the highest level of legal representation. Actively engaged in professional activities and organizations, he continues to share his expertise through lectures and conferences focused on DUI defense.
