Attorney Biography
Thomas F. ("Tom") Martello, Jr. has practiced law in Ohio since 1992. He is a graduate of Yale University (B.A. 1987, English, Distinction in Major), and of Capital University Law School (J.D. 1990, Cum Laude, Law Review Articles Editor). Tom is an experienced litigator in a wide variety of areas. He has successfully tried many criminal and civil cases, and he has been successful in the court of appeals. His current caseload includes criminal cases (felony and misdemeanor), traffic cases (including OVI), personal injury cases, small business owners and commercial property owners. As an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio, he prosecuted death penalty habeas corpusappeals in United States District Court, and argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. In private practice, he has participated in major asbestos litigation, both at the trial and appellate court levels. Tom is currently a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the Central Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
