Katherine Fisher is a 2003 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, also from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which she received in 1992.
Prior to her acceptance at University of North Carolina School of Law in 1999, Katie spent many years working with blind and multi-sensory impaired individuals providing vocational training and life-skill education.
After working in Austin, Texas, and then attending law school in Chapel Hill, Katie and her growing family lived in Oaxaca, Mexico for a brief period, while she learned Spanish and studied for the North Carolina Bar examination.
Building on her professional history of service to underserved communities, Katie began her family law practice at Western North Carolina’s highly regarded private legal aid firm, Pisgah Legal Services, and quickly became a managing attorney.
There, Katie dedicated her practice to representing low income victims of domestic violence. Building on that experience in private practice since 2009, Katie has focused her attention on exclusively on family law cases and post-divorce estate planning.
