Attorney Biography
Rod Kight is an Asheville attorney who specializes in bankruptcy. He is also an advocate for marijuana reform after having experienced its medical benefits during chemotherapy treatments for cancer. (He is happy to be in remission.)
Rod spent years representing clients with drug charges before the NC State and Federal criminal courts. His current marijuana advocacy involves assisting business owners prepare for the day- hopefully soon- when they can legally dispense marijuana, medically or otherwise. Rod has years of experience representing small businesses incorporate, litigate, reorganize, sell, and dissolve. He looks forward to being the attorney for marijuana dispensaries, growers, landlords, and others involved in the legal marijuana trade.
Rod is happily married to Ashley, a paralegal in the firm. Together, they have a blended family of 5 children. When not practicing law or running the kids from one activity to another, Rod and Ashley play music with their band, Whiz Mob, and enjoy exploring Asheville.
