About Remzi Guvenc Kulen

Attorney Biography

As the founding attorney of Kulen Law Firm, I have dedicated my legal career to helping thousands of individual and corporate clients successfully navigate the complex landscape of U.S. immigration law. Since establishing the firm in 2009, I have represented clients across all 50 states and internationally in a wide range of immigration matters. My practice focuses on nonimmigrant work visas, employment-based green cards, family-based immigration petitions, and investment-based immigration pathways. I take pride in delivering personalized and results-oriented legal strategies tailored to each client’s long-term immigration and business goals.

In the area of nonimmigrant visas, I have extensive experience handling H-1B visas for specialty occupation professionals, L-1 visas for intracompany transferees and executives, E-2 visas for treaty investors, O-1 visas for individuals with extraordinary ability, and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican professionals under NAFTA. I work closely with entrepreneurs, startups, multinational companies, artists, researchers, and investors to design strategic visa solutions that align with both U.S. immigration regulations and business objectives.

My firm is particularly well-regarded for its work in investment immigration, with a strong emphasis on E-2 Treaty Investor Visas and the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Green Card Program. I regularly assist foreign nationals in legally structuring their investments into the U.S. to meet visa or permanent residency criteria, whether through direct businesses or regional center projects. I am also deeply experienced in preparing and filing successful EB-1A Extraordinary Ability petitions and EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW) applications, securing green cards for clients in diverse industries such as technology, science, academia, fine arts, and business innovation.

In addition to employment-based immigration, I handle complex family-based green card cases, including marriage-based adjustment of status, fiancé(e) K-1 visas, petitions for parents and children, and consular processing for family reunification. I guide families step-by-step through the process, ensuring compliance, minimizing delays, and avoiding denials or Requests for Evidence (RFEs).

Beyond my legal practice, I am passionate about public education in immigration law. I actively create and share educational content on U.S. visa categories, green card options, legal updates, and immigration reform through various digital platforms, including my firm’s blog, newsletters, YouTube channel, and social media accounts. I also maintain a Turkish-language immigration blog to better support Turkish-speaking communities and business professionals interested in relocating to or investing in the United States.

Since 2004, I have been a proud member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), staying actively engaged with the latest developments in immigration policy and law. I am also a recurring attendee at the SelectUSA Investment Summit, where I connect with international investors and represent U.S. immigration legal perspectives on foreign direct investment. These professional engagements allow me to remain at the forefront of immigration law and business investment trends that impact our clients globally.

I earned my LL.B. from Marmara University Law Faculty in 1998 and completed my LL.M. degree with distinction from Tulane Law School in 2002. I have been a licensed New York immigration attorney since 2001 and have built a reputation as a strategic, client-centered legal advisor trusted by individuals, families, and companies alike.

Fluent in English and Turkish, I regularly work with clients from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America, and Australia. Whether you are applying for a work visa, launching a U.S. business, transitioning from a student visa (F-1) to an H-1B or Green Card, or sponsoring a family member, I am here to guide you through the process with clarity and confidence.

Outside the office, I enjoy traveling with my family, playing soccer, and table tennis. I live in New York City with my wife and two daughters, and I remain deeply committed to making the U.S. immigration journey smoother and more successful for those seeking opportunity, security, and a new beginning in America.
