Attorney Biography
Kathleen is the partner in charge of medical malpractice at WRSH. She is a former registered nurse who has successfully represented plaintiffs in medical malpractice actions for her entire career. She has settled, mediated and tried numerous cases including a $12 million dollar settlement for the family of child injured at birth and a $10 million dollar settlement for failing to diagnose sepsis. She has represented plaintiffs in cases involving failure to diagnose cancer, failure to diagnose and treat stroke, failure to identify acute coronary syndromes and many other types of medical malpractice actions. She was one of the trial lawyers who represented the estate of the artist Andy Warhol which was settled just prior to verdict. Kathleen has lectured at Columbia School of Dentistry, The American Association of Nurse Attorneys, Fordham Law School and before hundreds of nurse at a seminar entitled The Legal Implications of Nursing Practice in New York. As Chair of the Committee on Lawyer Alcoholism and Substance Abuse of the NYCBA, she advocated for and obtained a commitment to establish a staffed Lawyers Assistance Program. The program has helped hundreds of attorneys, judges, law students and their families.
