Attorney Biography
Pooja Mehta is a distinguished legal professional who has made significant contributions to the field of immigration law. Currently serving as the owner and operating attorney at DALAL & MEHTA Immigration and Family Law Firm since 2019. Prior to this role, Ms. Mehta was an associate attorney at The Law Office of Suresh H. Dalal, where she honed her skills in immigration law.
Before joining The Law Office of Suresh H. Dalal, Ms. Mehta held several positions that contributed to her expertise in legal affairs and human resources management. From 2015 to 2017, she served as the Director of Legal affairs and human resources at Americare Health Group after working as a legal consultant for Sterling Law and Mele Law between 2013 and 2015. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable experience as a library assistant at New England Law’s library in 2012 and as a law clerk for the Attorney General of Massachusetts and Halstrom Law Offices in 2011.
Ms. Mehta's journey into law began with internships at Jewish Family and Children's Services from 2010 to 2011 and at the Law Offices of Neil S. Cohen in 2010. Prior to these roles, she was a paralegal at Legal Services of New Jersey from 2008 to 2009.
Ms. Mehta's academic journey has played a significant role in her professional success. She earned her Juris Doctor from New England Law in Boston in 2012, after obtaining Certification in Paralegal Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2009. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, which she received in 2008.
