Michael Goodman

Mr. Goodman is a transactional and business attorney.He concentrates his practice in the following areas of law: all aspects of commercial and residential real estate including purchases, sales, leasing and mortgage financing; tax deferred 1031 Exchanges; partnership, corporate and limited liability company organizational structure; purchases and sales of business entities; tax advice; and landuse/zoning and planning. Mr. Goodman is fluent in Hebrew.Mr. Goodman recently concluded his long tenure as attorney for the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the Borough of Demarest after many years and regularly appears before zoning and planning boards throughout the State of New Jersey.

He has represented several national retail tenants such as The Vitamin Shoppe and Avenue as well as numerous local and regional landlords and tenants.Mr. Goodman has represented many banks and private lenders including: The Bank of New Jersey; Pascack Community Bank; Bergen Commercial Bank; Bank of New York; Kennedy Funding; NJ Lenders Corp.; KSI Funding, Inc.; Sovereign Bank; Metro Funding, Inc.Mr. Goodman is active in many local organizations. He has served as President of Temple Emanu-el of Closter, NJ, President of The Jewish Association for Development Disabilities, Inc. and has acted as legal adviser to Ben Porat Yosef, Inc., a Jewish Day School.
