Attorney Biography
Before concentrating my practice in criminal defense, I honed my skills as a litigator in criminal law as an Assistant County Prosecutor in the Camden County Prosecutor's Office in New Jersey for thirty-one (31) years. In addition to prosecuting hundreds and hundreds of cases, I was also in charge of the Major Crimes Unit and had supervisory responsibility for the investigation and prosecution of a large range of serious criminal offenses for twelve (12) years. While acting as the Section Chief of the Major Crimes Unit, I was also the Police Legal Advisor to all law enforcement agencies within the county, the number of which agencies exceeded thirty (30), and provided advice on countless issues involving the criminal law to a variety of police and law enforcement officers.
During my last twelve (12) years at the Prosecutor's Office I was in charge of both the Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation Units. In that position I had supervisory responsibility for the investigation and prosecution of a large number of murders that occurred every year in a county that included the City of Camden which has been designated as the "most dangerous city" in the United States for a number of years.
I have been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Criminal Trial Attorney, one of a very small percentage of attorneys who have been designated as such.
