Attorney Biography
Attorney Gregory A. Gordillo provides small business owners and professionals with general counsel services to give you a justified sense of security knowing that your personal and business financial and legal affairs are in order, thus enabling you, your partners, team members, and your family to avoid stress and enjoy more fulfilling lives both now and in the future. After 24+ years of fighting employment and business disputes, Greg’s practice has evolved to assist you in avoiding conflict and court with careful planning to prevent unfavorable situations from arising in the first place. His experience persuading jurors and judges is now used to break down and explain complex business and estate plans in clear, easy to understand terms aimed directly at accomplishing your personal and professional goals. Greg earned his juris doctorate degree magna cum laude at Cleveland State University. He won awards as the top student in his classes on First Amendment Law, Evidence, Business Associations, Pretrial Practice, and Legal Writing. He is on the National Dean’s List and earned membership in the prestigious Order of Barristers. He was the Executive Editor of the Law Review and a National Finalist in the National Moot Court Competition. After graduation, he returned as an Adjunct Professor in the law school.
Greg was recruited by and became an associate with one of the premier law firms in Ohio, Ulmer & Berne, where he represented businesses in their lawsuits with other businesses and employees. He left to form his own firm which eventually merged with another to become Valore & Gordillo. That firm has been recognized four times by U.S. News & World Report as a “Tier 1” Law Firm. After moving from Ohio to Nevada, Greg remains of counsel to Valore & Gordillo in Cleveland, Ohio and founded the New Vision LawTM firm in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Twice, Greg has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a “Lawyer of the Year.” He’s also been listed for the last six years in “Best Lawyers” and “Super Lawyers.” Moreover, he’s been featured as a speaker in the “Trial Superstars” series of seminars presented by the Cleveland, Ohio Bar Association. A leader among his peers, Greg has served as Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Torts and Insurance Practice Section, Chair of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section, a Director for the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association, Chair of the Cleveland Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Section, and an Emeritus Master Bencher on the Cleveland Employment Law Inn of Court.
Greg, his wife Deborah, and their beloved coton du tulear doggie Coco live in Las Vegas. Active members of the Las Vegas Philharmonic Guild, they also love attending performances in Myron’s Cabaret at the Smith Center, hiking in the Red Rock National Conservation Area, and playing low-stakes poker tables in Las Vegas poker rooms. Coco is an exceptional poker player but sometimes howls at musicians singing out of tune.
