Attorney Biography
Karen Nelson is an accomplished attorney at Carlson & Burnett, LLP with more than two decades of experience. She primarily handles cases involving juvenile law, family law, adoptions, and criminal law. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in private practice. She earned her law degree from Creighton University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. After graduation. She served as the Deputy Douglas County Attorney for eight years. In this capacity, she prosecuted a number of complex criminal law cases and gained valuable appellate experience. She is admitted to practice in Nebraska and the U.S. Supreme Court, and is a member of the Nebraska Bar Association and the Omaha Bar Association.
