I have practiced law in Missouri since 1990. My practice involves business law, and with the passage of Amendment 2 in Missouri, I am now advising prospective business owners in all phases of the medical marijuana industry in Missouri. This work includes business entity formation, interpretation of the state rules and regulations as they are created by the Department of Health and Senior Services; preparation of applications for licenses for Cultivation Facilities, Infused Products Manufacturing Facitilites and Dispensary Facilities to meet the August 3, 2019 application deadline; assistance with compliance of state and local regulatory issues; assistance with real estate acquisitions; employment issues; and keeping clients updated as the new state rules and regulations are developed and changes to those rules and regulations are made. Our firm serves as city attorney for seven(7) cities in Missouri and this provides us with the experience to advise clients on the local decisions made by Planning and Zoning Boards regarding where medical marijuana facilities will be allowed to locate in each Missouri city and town.
