Attorney Biography
Carrie Gaines brings decades of legal experience and a service-driven mindset to her work advocating for injured individuals. Originally from South Bend, Indiana, Carrie earned her undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame before completing her Juris Doctor and LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law at John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 2001.
Carrie began her legal career in Indiana and developed a broad practice spanning multiple areas of law. Over the years, she has resolved hundreds of cases, gained significant courtroom experience, and became a certified mediator. Her background also includes serving as in-house counsel and municipal counsel for small corporations and local governments, giving her a well-rounded perspective on legal problem-solving and negotiation.
After relocating to Nebraska in 2015, Carrie shifted her focus exclusively to representing individuals who have been injured. She is licensed to practice law in Nebraska, Iowa, and Indiana. Driven by a genuine desire to help others, Carrie approaches her work with diligence, empathy, and a strong commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients.
Outside of the office, Carrie enjoys spending time at home in the Dundee neighborhood with her husband, two teenage daughters, and their dog. When she’s not shuttling her daughters to activities, she enjoys walking the dog, playing pickleball, trivia nights, and traveling.
