Sam Meklir devotes his practice to cases involving victims of severe injuries. For more than 35 years, he has focused on representing plaintiffs harmed as the result of: medical malpractice, birth trauma, wrongful death, automobile negligence, construction accidents, fire & property loss, motorcycle accidents, trucking accidents, defectice products.
Sam's knowledge of medicine is crucial not only for physician and hospital malpractice matters, but also for educating juries on the severity, extent, and impact of each plaintiff's injuries and damages.
In trucking and other motor vehicle accident cases, he works with experts to discover data on black boxes housed in the vehicles, obtains phone records, and gathers personal histories of the defendant drivers. That information is then analyzed to prove defendants' responsibility for the accidents.
Sam has been featured on television and in the Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, and other local newspapers regarding the cases he's handled. In the past few years, has been spotlighted numerous times in Michigan Lawyers Weekly for the verdicts and settlements he obtained, and at one time, he was recognized for obtaining the largest jury verdicts in Mt. Clemens and Port Huron. He always tries to obtain the maximum recovery for his clients, whether by means of settlement or at trial.
