Attorney Biography
My wife and I relocated to Northern Michigan in 2013. I have lived all over the world and all over the country, but this is wonderful area is now home. Frankfort is a great place to live and raise a family. I spend my free time playing guitar and chess, reading, and exploring the many trails and beaches nearby with wife and law partner, Betsy Mas, and our daughter.
Our firm, Mas/Stig-Nielsen was founded because there is a need for high-quality, smart criminal defense in northern Michigan. We are committed to serving the needs of people accused of crimes by the government. Our firm is guided by the words of author and activist Bryan Stevenson, each of us is more than the worst thing we’ve ever done. Regardless of what you stand accused of doing, we will help you. Defense attorneys often sell themselves as being aggressive advocates in the courtroom, however, in our experience, that is not enough. Mas/Stig-Nielsen vehemently fights for our clients but more importantly we are prepared, intelligent attorneys who use the law to defend our clients.
