Attorney Biography
Scott Mansfield, founder of Mansfield Melancon, leverages his experience representing insurance companies and corporations to fight for individuals injured through no fault of their own. His firm is dedicated to providing personalized attention and aggressive advocacy.
Scott has extensive courtroom experience across Louisiana and federal courts, handling personal injury and business litigation cases, including for Fortune 500 companies. Recognized as a Super Lawyer – Louisiana Rising Star from 2018 to 2024, he is also a Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Scott has served on the Louisiana State Bar Association's Ethics Advisory Service Committee and the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. He is currently on the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board and is an Assistant Examiner for the Louisiana Bar Exam.
A graduate of the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Scott was on the Chancellor’s List and earned CALI Excellence Awards. Before law school, he was a deputy sheriff. He remains active in the community and is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts and several federal courts.
