Practice Areas: Mr. Joseph represents individuals and businesses during the investigation and prosecution of criminal charges in federal and state courts. He also represents businesses and individuals in complex civil litigation, primarily in federal court. Admitted: After graduating from law school in 2000, Mr. Joseph was admitted to practice before the Kansas Supreme Court, all other Kansas courts, and the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. In 2001, he was admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He was admitted to practice in the Western District of Missouri in 2005. Education: Mr. Joseph received his juris doctorate in 2000 from the University of Kansas School of Law. While attending law school, he wrote for the Kansas Law Review and served as an Associate Editor. He was invited to membership in the Order of the Coif, a national honor society for law school graduates with exceptional academic achievement. Mr. Joseph graduated summa cum laude from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Professional History: After graduating from law school, Mr. Joseph was appointed by Chief United States District Judge John Lungstrum, District of Kansas, to serve as his law clerk from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Joseph joined Joseph, Hollander & Craft in August of 2002. Ratings: Mr. Joseph has earned Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory's highest "AV" rating for lawyers. He is a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, is recognized in the peer-review publication Best Lawyers in America, including being named the 2017 Lawyer of the Year for criminal defense in Topeka, Kansas, is designated as one of the top five percent of Kansas lawyers in Super Lawyers ® by Thomson Reuters, and has been named "Top 100 Trial Lawyers" in Kansas by The National Trial Lawyers.

National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers -

Founded in 1958, NACDL is the largest organization for criminal defense lawyers fighting to preserve fairness within America's criminal justice system. The organization has more than 10,000 direct members including criminal defense attorneys in private practice, public defenders in state or federal court, U.S. military defense counsel, law professors and judges.


National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws NLC -

More than 350 criminal defense attorneys belong to the NORML National Legal Committee (NLC). Members of the NORML NLC include many prominent criminal defense lawyers who are dedicated to ending prohibition of marijuana through education, legal reform and activism. Attorneys focused on other practice areas also belong to the organization.


NLC members are listed on the NORML website, are eligible for the NLC e-mail discussion group, receive the weekly email press release, and NORML News.
