Attorney Biography
Stephen A. Glickman is an experienced Chicago employment law attorney who has successfully represented businesses and executives in all areas of employment law for over 25 years.He brings talent, skill, knowledge and experience to the table, along with a personalized approach to the practice of law.
Mr. Glickman has an extensive employment litigation background in federal and state court.He litigates employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and other employment law cases. In addition, he represents clients in administrative proceedings before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights and other administrative agencies.Mr. Glickman also negotiates numerous settlements and separation agreements.
Mr. Glickman advises businesses in human resources situations, including hiring and firing decisions, employee discipline, personnel policies, employee handbooks, ADA accommodation requests, FMLA and other leaves of absence, employment selection tests, drug and alcohol testing, at-will employment, employment risk management and compliance with the ever-changing federal and state employment laws.He also counsels executives on employment contracts, executive compensation, severance packages and noncompetition agreements.
Mr. Glickman was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1987 and the Federal Trial Bar in 1989.He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Labor and Employment Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association.He serves as an Arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.
Mr. Glickman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1983 with a double major in History and Philosophy, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the DePaul University College of Law in 1987.
