Attorney Biography
John is the founding partner of Galarnyk & Associates. John was born and raised in a small town in Wisconsin in a large family of a general practice physician and a loving stay-at-home mother. John watched his father manage and operate his general medical practice with a holistic approach with a confidential, nurturing and positive bedside manner.
After attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, he embarked on his legal career practicing in the litigation department of small and mid-sized law firms. In 2001, John formed Galarnyk & Associates, Ltd., modeling his firm after his father’s medical practice.
John has become an accomplished general practice lawyer and litigator. Possessing knowledge, tenacity, hard-work and drive, and unique problem-solving capabilities, John is the ideal lawyer for individuals, families and small and medium sized businesses facing problems that require personal, creative and confidential solutions.
With 30+ years of experience, John has a proven track record of building teams of professionals to provide expertise in various jurisdictions and in different forums across the country for an impressive list of past and present clients.
In 2008, John attended Northwestern University’s School of Continuing Studies where he received a certificate in Investigation and Prevention of Commercial Fraud. The course work included significant attention to computers, electronic stored information and electronic discovery, which we incorporated into the firm’s expertise.
John’s innate problem-solving abilities and unique skills have allowed him to win over potential clients who were looking for representation from large law firms. They find that his smart, tough, thoughtful, and personal approach best leads to their desired and winning results.
John’s two children also graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and reside in the city of Chicago. He is actively involved in his childrens’ lives and in various charitable entities and endeavors, and in the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Commission.
