Attorney Biography
Mr. Leibowitz received his undergraduate degeee in Economics from Northwestern University and his law degree - cum laude - from Loyola University of Chicago where he served as an editor of the Law Review. He is a past director of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. He has served as a chapter 7 trustee for 35 years.
Mr. Leibowitz is admitted to practice in Illinois and Wisconsin and in Federal courts in Indiana, the Western District of Michigan, Maryland and the Southern District of Texas.
He has been recognized for excellence by Superlawyers, Best Lawyers in America and Martindale Hubbell, among others. He has qualified as a mediator in the Circuit Court of Cook County.
David is particularly proud of awards for pro bono service from the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Circuit Court for the NIneteenth Judicial Circuit of Lake County, Illinois.
