Attorney Biography
Clyde Guilamo started his legal career in 2011 as an Assistant State's Attorney for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. In 2017, he began a small parttime law office that advocated on behalf of homeowners who were wrongfully overpaying property taxes. With a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from Northwestern University, Clyde has seen considerable success as a property tax lawyer, having saved Cook County homeowners thousands in property taxes.
Clyde continued his work for the government, becoming the Complex Narcotics Prosecutor in Kankakee County and then a Felony Trial Assistant State's Attorney in DeKalb County. In 2021, Clyde took a position as an Assistant Public Defender in Kendall County, where he tried one of the biggest cases that was pending in the county (parents charged with the death of a 6-year-old child).
In 2022, Clyde left government work and went into full private practice, adding Criminal Defense to his list of accomplishments. Clyde also serves as the host of a YouTube Channel called "Law Talk for Non-Lawyers" a show dedicated to talking about the law in plain English.
