I would recommend to NEVER retain this man as an attorney or give him any money!!! He is an absolute thief! He was hired December last year and has done NO WORK on the case!! We have filed a grievance against him to the State Bar! THE WORST!!! BE AWARE HE WILL NEVER RESPOND TO YOU OR HAVE TIME TO WORK YOUR CASE!

Scam. He will take your money and never work on your case. He’s never available, he also tell lies like he’s working on your case. You’re better off finding another lawyer or going with a public defender. The sad part is after speaking with other lawyers about my family member case they laughed and basically saying Melvin Rains wasn’t doing his job & that my family member was supposed to been out. Don’t hire Melvin Rains as your lawyer. You will be wasting your time and money.
