Attorney Biography
Attorney Sara Jones is a native of central Florida. She was born and raised in Lake Wales, Florida, in Polk County, where she graduated from Frostproof Middle/Senior High School with high honors and high aspirations. Attorney Jones earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Sociology and Criminology from Florida State University in 2012, with minors in English and Legal Studies.
While a student at FSU, Attorney Jones worked with the Florida State University Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement tutoring and mentoring first generation college students. Attorney Jones also interned with Parks and Crump, LLC, during her last year in college. As a law student, Attorney Jones interned with the Juvenile Division of State Attorney’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit and Monts Law, P.L. and served as a Certified Legal Intern for the State Attorney’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. She was also the Vice President of the Women’s Law Caucus and a Senior Staff editor for FAMU Law Review.
In 2015, Attorney Jones graduated Cum Laude with her Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the Florida A&M University College of Law. After law school, Attorney Jones became an Associate Attorney at The Law Office of Adaryll Lee, P.L.L.C., practiced personal injury law and served clients throughout the state of Florida.
In 2016, Attorney Jones soon returned home to Lake Wales where she opened her personal injury and criminal defense firm, Sara Jones Law, P.A. Her practice includes representing clients injured in automobile and trucking accidents, individuals injured by defective products, survivors of wrongful death, individuals with family law disputes, and individuals who have been charged with criminal offenses.
Attorney Jones is a member of the Legal Rattlers Alumni Association, Lake Wales NAACP Branch #5109, Lake Wales Area Chamber of Commerce, Polk County African American Chamber of Commerce, and the Polk Association of Women Lawyers. Attorney serves on the City of Lake Wales Code Enforcement Board, she serves as the Secretary for the Green & Gold Foundation's Board of Directors, and is the Chairperson for the Northwest Lake Wales Redevelopment Council.
