Attorney Biography
Nicole Ofstein is a founding attorney of Leslie & Ofstein Law Group, PLLC. Her practice areas are tax resolution and real estate. She has successfully negotiated offers in compromise, installment agreements, hardship deferments, abatement of penalties and interest, innocent spouse relief, release of tax liens and levies, and expiration of the collection statute. She also works with property purchasers and sellers in real estate transactions, reviewing title, preparing documents, and conducting closings, and she is a member of the Attorneys Title Fund Services LLC.
Before establishing Leslie & Ofstein Law Group, PLLC, Nicole was the founder and president of Ofstein & Associates, P.A., a law firm offering tax representation to individuals and businesses nationwide (2001 – 2013), and prior to that she was managing director of the Florida office and head of the tax resolution department at Arnold S. Goldstein & Associates, P.A. (1996 – 2001), where in addition to tax resolution, she also handled various estate, tax planning and asset protection issues and was appointed special counsel for Made E-Z Products, Inc. (d.b.a. E-Z Legal Forms).
Nicole is a dynamic and entertaining speaker and author on IRS matters. She has lectured before numerous taxpayer and professional groups, and has been the featured speaker on various radio programs concerning the IRS. In addition, she co-authored Solving IRS Problems Made E-Z (2001) and How to Settle with the IRS…for Pennies on the Dollar(2007). Nicole earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida (1992), a Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University (1995), and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the Washington School of Law (2001). She is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar (Admitted 09/27/1995) as well as various professional, academic and civic organizations.
