Matthew Menendez has focused his legal career on DUI and criminal defense in Tampa, FL. He is an associate attorney at the Sammis Law Firm, P.A.
After obtaining a degree in Criminal Justice from Florida State University, Matthew graduated from law school at Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans in 2010.
During law school, Matthew wrote for the Loyola Journal of Public Interest Law before eventually becoming the Editor in Chief of the publication. Matthew also represented indigent clients in family law proceedings, gaining invaluable courtroom experience.
Additionally, Matthew worked for the Juvenile Justice Project of Louisiana in their efforts to transform Louisiana’s juvenile justice system and end mandatory life without parole sentences for juveniles.
Matthew is a native of Tampa, FL. After law school he returned home to gain valuable trial experience as an Assistant Public Defender for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County. He worked as an Assistant Public Defender for more than three years.
At the Sammis Law Firm, Matthew successfully and zealously advocated for his clients in juvenile, misdemeanor, and felony court.
