Attorney Biography
A Florida native, Jennifer Meksraitis was born in Sarasota and raised in Tampa. Her mother, Martha, who was born in Cuba, taught her the importance of retaining her heritage and ensured she spoke Spanish fluently. Her father, Michael, has practiced law in the Central Florida area for over 35 years. He taught her what it means to be an effective advocate for clients.
Shortly after graduating from H.B. Plant High School, Jennifer attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville and received her Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Economics. From there, she went on to work for Allstate as an Account Manager in Atlanta. After a few years of working for a corporation, she knew that her true calling lay in the practice of law.
In 2006, she graduated from Stetson University College of Law with her Jurist Doctorate and worked as an Assistant Public Defender for the 15th Judicial Circuit in West Palm Beach, FL. She spent three invaluable years at the Office of the Public Defender and tried many jury and non-jury cases. Jennifer, however, was drawn back to her hometown. She left the Public Defender’s Office and came back to Tampa to open up the office of Jennifer Meksraitis, Esq., PLLC Attorney at Law.
Jennifer is licensed to practice law in Florida and North Carolina and is a member of the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Florida Justice Association.
