Erik Andrew Perez

Mr. Perez’s practice includes several aspects of federal and state civil litigation with a focus on complex commercial, homeowners’ association, property damage, and personal injury. While a large portion of his practice involves civil litigation, Mr. Perez also represents clients in a broad spectrum of real estate and commercial transactions. His willingness to help his clients regardless of the circumstances is what separates him from other attorneys.

In his practice, Mr. Perez has successfully represented a wide array of individuals including homeowners, injured parties, developers, contractors, small business owners, publicly-traded technology companies, and insurance carriers in a variety of contexts. This has allowed Mr. Perez to have a unique perspective and substantial competitive advantage in his practice areas because he has represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants in complex commercial cases, homeowners’ association disputes, property damage claims, and personal injury litigation.

Mr. Perez has practiced at several well-known law firms in Florida. He previously worked at some of Florida’s largest insurance defense law firms. Mr. Perez has effectively represented clients in all phases of litigation and arbitration including trials, final hearings, summary judgment proceedings, and mediations.

Mr. Perez is a graduate of the University of Miami’s School of Law, where he received his J.D. degree with multiple honors. He was on the Dean’s List for multiple semesters, and also received the Dean’s Merit Award which provided him with a scholarship to the University of Miami’s School of Law. He served on the International Moot Court and participated in several international arbitration cases across South America.  He received his Bachelor in Business with magna cum laude honors from Florida International University.

Mr. Perez has been a member or several reputable associations in the state. Particularly, Mr. Perez has been a member of the Miami-Dade County Trial Lawyers Association, Miami-Dade County Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association, and Hispanic American National Bar Association.  Mr. Perez has also been elected as an Executive Committeeman within the 24th precinct in Miami-Dade County. Mr. Perez is a licensed Florida real estate agent and has represented buyers and sellers on several different real estate purchases.

Mr. Perez cares deeply about his clients and has established wonderful friendships and continuous working relationships with many of them. Mr. Perez is an avid philanthropist who has supported several causes for the underrepresented and underprivileged in his community.
