Attorney Biography
Dale E. Workman earned his Juris Doctor JD) degree in 1997 from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, which has consistently and repeatedly been recognized as the best law school in the nation for producing superior trial attorneys.
Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science in 1993 from the University of South Florida in Tampa. While there, he served as Articles Editor and Feature Writer for the school’s Undergraduate Law Review, for which he wrote "Casualty of War," an in-depth analysis of the erosion of the right to privacy that has inevitably resulted from the nation’s War on Drugs.
Since law school, he has continued his education at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, where he earned a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management in 2014, and he is currently pursuing his Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree at The George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development in Washington, DC.
He is admitted to practice in all state courts throughout Florida, as well as all federal courts throughout the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia.
He has been recognized as one of the Top 20 Criminal Defense Lawyers in Jacksonville, Florida in both 2018 and 2019 by the independent professional services review firm Expertise, LLC. In addition, his "High Ethical Standing" and "High Professional Achievement" has been recognized by fellow attorneys and judges who know him and have worked with him, resulting in a "Distinguished" Peer Review Rating from the renowned attorney review firm Martindale-Hubbell. He has also received each of the Silver, Gold and Platinum Client Champion Awards from the same organization based upon multiple reviews from clients that he has represented.
Over the last two decades, he has been affiliated with many legal and professional organizations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Florida Bar (Business Law, Criminal Law, Public Interest Law and Trial Lawyers sections), and the Jacksonville Bar Association (Commercial Litigation and Criminal Law sections). He has also served as a member of the Florida Bar’s Traffic Court Rules Committee, and as an attorney advisor for several Teen Court programs throughout the state.
He is an experienced and respected trial attorney with an extensive background in both civil and criminal law, who has practiced criminal defense in both the public and private sectors since January 1999, and civil trial law with an emphasis on commercial and consumer law since February 2004.
