Attorney Biography
Ms. Edwards, a native of Annapolis, MD, received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics & History from Vanderbilt University in 2004 and her Juris Doctor from Catholic University, Columbus School of Law in 2011.
Since her undergraduate study, Ms. Edwards has work in a variety of legal settings supporting government, government affairs, small firm, and multinational corporate operations. Ms. Edwards began her career working for the United States Senate, first for the 2005 Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies and then for former U.S. Senate Majority Leader William H. Frist, M.D. When Senator Frist retired from the Senate, Ms. Edwards joined the Global Government Affairs Office for Electronic Data Systems Corporation, where she assisted with public policy issues facing the multinational IT corporation on a global, national, and state level. Ms. Edwards left EDS to join The Ashcroft Group, a consulting organization in Washington, DC led by former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft. There, she worked with former U.S. Attorneys and top staff of the U.S. Departments of Justice and Homeland Security to launch The Ashcroft Law Firm. She was involved in cases of anti-corruption, qui tam, and labor rights, and worked closely with the former Acting Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to develop Congressional testimony, presentations to the FBI, and campaigns for national security initiatives.
Ms. Edwards later joined the General Counsel’s Office of MicroStrategy Inc., a rapidly growing business intelligence software and social commerce company with presence in 26 countries. There, she supported the central legal operations concerning risk management, FCPA/anti-corruption, data privacy, and other compliance matters, in addition to corporate governance, real estate, intellectual property, and securities.
Following law school, Ms. Edwards was a legal clerk for a financial regulatory firm in Washington, DC specializing in commodities markets and Dodd-Frank regulation. In addition, she had a legal internship with a Washington, DC litigation practice concentrating on fraud and consumer protection cases.
Ms. Edwards joined the Antonoplos & Associates, PLLC in June 2012. She is admitted to practice in the States of New York, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Ms. Edwards lives in Washington, DC. She is an Art Information Desk Volunteer for the National Gallery of Art.
